That’s right folks! We’ve got some of the best team ropers in the industry for this clinic!
Erich Rogers Derrick Begay Aaron Tsinigine

Thank you to our Warriors and Rodeo Marine Corps Veterans Curtis Imming and Omar Benally for your hard work on this team roping clinic to honor your brothers and sisters in arms in the Navajo Nation.

Logistics:

Who Can Apply to Attend the Clinic? – Update: Applications are no longer being accepted for this clinic. Thank you to all who applied.

Where is the Clinic? – We are honored to hold this clinic at the Dean C. Jackson Memorial Fairgrounds, Navajo Nation, Window Rock, Arizona (Navajo: Tségháhoodzání) Window Rock serves as the seat of government and capital of the Navajo Nation, the largest territory in North America of a sovereign Native American nation.

When is this clinic being held? May 14-15, 2022. A daily schedule will be posted for those attending. Saturday, we will have Begay, Rogers, and Tsinigine there to share their wealth of knowledge of team roping with our participants. Sunday will start with a Round Robin competition followed by lunch and a suicide prevention briefing. The afternoon will consist of more roping with military veteran instructors.

Lodging – There are numerous places in the area for those who are traveling in to stay. W.A.R. does not pay for travel or lodging. If you have a donor who would like to donate to provide this for those coming, please contact W.A.R. President Sheri Smith at 417-342-5842.

Why are we hosting this clinic? We appreciate your service to America. It is our way of saying thank you and reminding you that you are NOT forgotten. Our volunteers and supporters work countless hours to make these events happen. Most of our volunteers are those who serve our country. This is a way for us to give back to our brothers and sisters in arms.

Those who serve, serving those who serve. Giving back to those who would give it all.

W.A.R. must also give credit to where credit is due. We want to thank Curtis Imming and Omar Bennaly for their hard work on this entire project. Without them, this event would not be happening. Both men are veterans of our great military and volunteers of Warriors and Rodeo.

CostThis clinic is free to those attending. All we ask is each person bring one or more gifts, whether it is a unit patch, military memorabilia, a meaningful personal item, etc. to give to W.A.R. to present to our clinicians and volunteers as a thank you for their hard work. And, if you make an awesome snack or dessert – bring that, too!

If you would like to donate to please do so below or contact WAR President Sheri Smith at 417-342-5842. We appreciate those who will partner with us to make clinics like this happen!

(Note From W.A.R. President Sheri Smith) Another part of this organization I love is how so many people and companies come together to honor our American Heroes. It reminds me of our branches – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Law Enforcement, EMS, and Firefighters – all necessary and required for the protection of our nation, its citizens, and allies. So it is with this organization – many different skills, professions, and donors are needed to make Warriors and Rodeo possible. Above and below this note are our numerous supporters that have come together to honor those who serve. Thank you for your partnership! We appreciate all you do!

Today I will walk out, today everything negative will leave me
I will be as I was before, I will have a cool breeze over my body.
I will have a light body, I will be happy forever, nothing will hinder me.
I walk with beauty before me. I walk with beauty behind me.
I walk with beauty below me. I walk with beauty above me.
I walk with beauty around me. My words will be beautiful.
In beauty all day long may I walk.
Through the returning seasons, may I walk.
On the trail marked with pollen may I walk.
With dew about my feet, may I walk.

In old age wandering on a trail of beauty, lively, may I walk.
In old age wandering on a trail of beauty, living again, may I walk.
My words will be beautiful…
