SSGT Burzesi and Crew win Divisional Top Tank Competition

SSG Burzesi and his tank crew are coming to RFD-TV’s The American to celebrate their win at the division level in the Top Tank Crew Competition! They come from Ft. Hood with their families thanks to Total Feed’s generous donation to Warriors and Rodeo.

“We are a tank crew from Charlie Company 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment. We were forward deployed in Bulgaria in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. Upon return from Bulgaria, we competed at and won the division level for a position to go this year’s top tank crew competition the Sullivan Cup. The crew consists of SSG Burzesi the vehicle commander, SGT Mitchell the gunner, PFC Hamm the loader and PFC Vellotti the driver.”

This year Sullivan Cup will be hosted at Fort Benning Georgia and the crew representing the 1st Cavalry Division will be competing against crews from the United States as well as international crews from countries such as Australia, Canada, and Kuwait.

SSG Burzesi is a long-standing member of Warriors and Rodeo. He is a former bull rider, but duty to country comes first and restricts his time in the practice pen.

SSG Burzesi has been a critical team member in our Operation Not on my Watch. He is been personally involved in numerous suicide prevention incidents. We are proud to have him a part of our organization.
